Sódomb


In 1961, thermal water erupted from a well drilled.

It is a unique natural formation in Hungary, created by thermal water with therapeutic properties. The soda hill is a snow-white limestone formation, formed over the years by the deposition of mineral-rich water that has erupted from the surface. The thermal water from the spring, which has a temperature of more than 65°C, continuously seeps from the hill, depositing minerals, mainly calcium carbonate, which is a spectacular sight.

Hive stone paths

The hive stones are a special natural feature of the Bükkkalja and have been awarded the Hungarikum (Hungarian Heritage) title. The most noteworthy stones are the Betyárbújó, the Kőbojtár, the Kőasszony and the Menyecske-hegy, which can be easily walked on.
